PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Ms. Bindler has over twenty-five years’ experience handling a broad range of high-stakes civil and criminal litigation, including fiduciary litigation, professional liability defense, insurance coverage disputes, corporate, commercial and employment disputes, environmental litigation and product liability litigation. She has extensive experience representing trustees and minority and majority shareholders in complex cases involving questions of corporate governance, shareholder rights, fiduciary obligations, and trust interpretation and construction.Ms. Bindler is an accomplished appellate advocate. She has appeared before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits, the Missouri Supreme Court, and Missouri courts of appeals. Her clients on appeal have included major law firms and a prominent University. Her appellate cases have addressed significant issues of first impression regarding forum selection clauses, constitutional questions regarding due process and equal protection, causation requirements in professional liability and product liability cases, submissibility issues regarding punitive damages, as well as important procedural questions.
She has represented corporations and individuals in federal and state criminal proceedings, grand jury investigations, and proceedings before governmental entities. She has also conducted a number of internal investigations for public corporations and private entities.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Represented lawyers and law firms in defense of legal malpractice claims arising in many different contexts, including civil litigation, trusts and estates, and transactional matters.
- Represented various manufacturers in defense of claims of asbestos exposure.
- Represented trustees of family trusts and directors, majority shareholders, and officers of privately-held companies in disputes regarding corporate governance and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
- Negotiated and drafted several complex agreements to resolve multi-million dollar disputes among owners of closely held corporations and beneficiaries of family trusts.
- Represented physicians of medical institution in high profile regulatory dispute over licensure.
- Represented former CFO of Fortune 500 corporation in defending federal wire fraud charges and civil class action litigation alleging accounting fraud.
- Represented state legislator acquitted of criminal assault charges.
- Represented municipality in securities arbitration challenging unauthorized investments of broker.
- Represented international energy company in obtaining dismissal of class action alleging PCB contamination along multi-state natural gas pipeline.
- Represented physicians and medical institution in several different medical malpractice and wrongful death actions.
