Mr. Martin’s practice focuses on both civil and criminal litigation. Prior to joining Haar & Woods, LLP, Mr. Martin served as an Assistant Circuit Attorney in the City of St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Mr. Martin supervised complex criminal investigations and interacted extensively with both state and federal law enforcement. He participated in grand jury proceedings, litigated numerous pretrial motions, and tried over thirty cases to a jury involving a variety of felony offenses. He has lectured on a range of topics, including constitutional challenges to the use of new technologies as investigative tools.

Mr. Martin graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2011. While in law school, he interned with the Honorable Raymond W. Gruender of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. In law school, he received a number of awards as a member of the Appellate Moot Court Team and received the Jurisprudence Achievement Award in both Civil Procedure and Criminal Trial Advocacy. Mr. Martin also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Missouri State University.
